A DAY OF KINDNESS
A Celebration and Annual Fundraiser for Community Meditation Center (CMC)
Saturday, November 14 · 10:00am–8:00pm
In person at New York Insight Meditation Center + Online
What would kindness do, right now?
We’re excited to come together for A Day of Kindness, a special day to celebrate CMC, our community, and the practice that brings us together.
This is also our annual fundraiser for 2027. Your participation will help CMC continue supporting guest teachers and strengthening the hybrid infrastructure that allows our community to practice together, locally and globally.
Our Program for the Day
Join for one hour or stay for the whole program.
10:00am–12:00pm · Kind Awareness in the Morning
Walking and sitting meditation, held largely in silence, guided by Vera Ruangtragool and Bart van Melik.
1:00–5:00pm · Kindness with Guest Teachers
An afternoon with Joseph Goldstein, Devin Berry, Oneika Mays, and Venerable Burin, with each teacher offering an hour of practice, reflection, conversation, or Q&A. We'll also receive a special pre-recorded message from Sharon Salzberg.
5:00–6:00pm · Refreshments & Community
For those joining us in person.
6:00–7:30pm · What Would Kindness Do, Right Now?

Pay What You Can
All levels offer the same access. If you're able to give more, there will also be an opportunity to make an additional contribution toward our end of year fundraising campaign for 2027.
What would kindness do, right now?
Perhaps it would stretch the body, right now.
Maybe it would register for this day with a big smile!
Perhaps it would make a contribution so that someone else can participate.
We hope you’ll join us to help celebrate and sustain this cherished sangha!
